The Air France-KLM Virtual Group (AFKLM VA) network is coordinated around the two hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol, which figure among Europe's four most powerful hubs. AFKLM Career Mode |
Available to pilots Rank 8 and above, AFKLM Career Mode is the most realistic commercial airline pilot career simulation on Infinite Flight.
|
Career Mode Overview:
- Airline & Hub Selection: Pilots will select to fly for either Air France, KLM, HOP or Transavia and will choose an AFKLM hub airport to serve as their primary base of operations.
- Rank & Fleet: Pilots will fly routes delivering passengers to and from their AFKLM hub, earning aircraft hours along the way as work their way up the ranks from regional jets to super heavies.
- Type Ratings: Before taking the helm on their first CM flight, pilots must complete an aircraft type rating to demonstrate their capacity to operate the aircraft safely during all phases of flight. Type Ratings will be carried out by an AFKLM Academy Flight Instructor based on the pilot's region.
- We also offer the possibility to move forward to Skyteam Career Mode! This widens the choices once more and offers you the possibility to fly all over the world from exciting new HUBs!
Pilot Operations:
Career Mode pilots receive individual Flight Lines (assigned routes) for the upcoming period based on their hub and type rating. The Career Mode Manager assigns new Flight Lines whenever the pilots has finished his current assigned ones. So you can continuously fly career mode routes.
Flight lines are determined by the Career Mode Flight Manager under the supervision of the COO. Pilots can view their assigned routes in the new Career Mode Crew Center. Pilots, Hubs, Total Hours, Ranks, Flight Lines, Recent Legs, and Status (Active Duty or Certification Required) can be found here.

Career Mode PIREP Filing Centre:
All Career Mode flights should be operated with maximum realism and professionalism, including use of proper flight plans, SIDs, STARS, AFKLM terminal parking, and taxi procedures.
File your logs using the Career Mode PIREP, which will require pilots to record the number of passengers flown, cargo delivered, and fuel carried in their log.
