The Goal
The World Tour Challenge is meant as a means for all AFKLM Virtual pilots to have fun. And to have the ability to fly different aircraft and liveries and visit some new places around the Infinite Flight globe. This is not a race, per se!
That said, we do have a bit of competition and reward in store for you!

Practicalities
Before you get started conquering the globe, make sure to take a moment to read through the fine print for World Tour 2! Rules will be enforced.
[1] Do I need to alter the pre-designated FPLs for each route?
As the flight plans are made in Simbrief, we all know that these are not always accurate. So, once you have spawned and checked the flight plan, you might want or need to make small adjustments to it.
Refer to IF Procedures FPL to ensure you are flying the correct SIDs and STARs along your trip.
[2] What happens if I encounter weather circumstances that may cause my flight to go longer or shorter than expected?
No problem at all, over 26 legs making it in 86 hours is the goal for meeting the Accuracy objective as stated above.

[4] Do I get a flight time bonus for completing individual World Tour routes?
There is no bonus connected to individual legs. However, if you finish at least 13 legs of WT you will receive a 20 hour bonus. If you finish all 26 legs of WT you will receive an additional 30 hour bonus. In addition, all individual flights count towards your total AFKLM pilot hours.
[5] If I fly different legs in a group or as a Flash Flight, do I receive a flight time bonus?
Group Flights or Flash Flights for World Tour Challenge routes do not get a bonus. Just regular flight time.
There is a built-in bonus structure for WT2 flights as follows:

[6] Q. I was on final approach to my destination and my app crashed. Can I still log the flight?
Unfortunately, no. Given the nature of the event and the competition we cannot accept any flights that have not been fully completed. A valid flight will involve traveling from gate-to-gate.
[7] What Pilot ranks can participate in the World Tour?
In accordance with the AFKLM Flight Operations update issued February 01, 2020, all pilots and all ranks can participate in AFKLM events including the World Tour. AFKLM Trainees enrolled in the AKFLM Academy can also participate if they have completed CF1 training. As a reminder, once the CF1 training flight has been completed pilots have seven days to complete the CF training process in its entirety.
[8] ATC is present at my destination airport. Should I follow AFKLM listed procedures or ATC recommended?
Yes, it is a possible coincidence that ATC may have featured destinations of WT2 in the schedule. It happened last time too. In this situation, disregard the procedures listed by us (AFKLM) and follow all ATC instructions.

[9] Can I spawn anywhere that I'd like to or do I need to follow the information on the Route Table?
The designated aircraft, livery, departure and arrival terminals must be utilized on all routes in order for WT2 flights to be considered valid. This means that you cannot spawn at the gate closest to the runway -- sorry, mates!
[10] Can I fly as fast as I want?
In a word, no. Remember, the World Tour is not intended to be a race across the globe. While we do reward you for being the quickest, we do not endorse flying faster than the recommended airspeed per aircraft. If you have any doubts, consult the Aircraft Performances Airtable by clicking here or type "Aircraft Database" in Slack. Any pilot spotted flying faster than the standard airspeed will be disqualified from the World Tour.
